Directions to the Office

Frank Ogawa Plaza is in downtown Oakland near Oakland City Center, bordered by Broadway, Clay, 14th and 16th Streets. San Pablo Avenue also dead-ends into the Plaza. BCG is located in The Rotunda Building, situated on the south side of the plaza opposite City Hall, next to Saigon Restaurant. Click here for map.

Parking:

Main garages are the Clay Street Garage at Clay between 14th and 16th Streets, the Dalziel building at 16th Street near Clay, and Douglas parking lot on 17th between Telegraph and San Pablo (enter on San Pablo). Rates are reasonable for these facilities at $1 per half hour up to $12 maximum per day. There are also parking garages at City Center (off 14th Street near Clay) and the convention center, but rates are higher ($1 per twenty minutes up to $18 maximum per day).

From BART:

Get off the train at Oakland City Center/12th Street station and go towards the northeasternmost end of the station near the lost & found and an information booth. Follow the signs inside the station to Frank Ogawa Plaza and exit. Go up the stairs or escalator and walk straight ahead for several yards, following signs to The Rotunda Building, which is across from City Hall next to the Saigon Restaurant to your right.

From the west/San Francisco:

Follow signs to BAY BRIDGE or I-80 EAST and get on at any onramp, such as 1st Street (take Bush Street to 1st). Take the I-80 EAST ramp towards BAY BRIDGE/OAKLAND. Merge onto I-80 E. I-80 E becomes I-80 E/BAY BRIDGE. I-80 E/BAY BRIDGE becomes I-80 E. Take I-580 EAST RAMP towards DOWNTOWN OAKLAND(CA-24)/HAYWARD-STOCKTON. Merge onto I-580 E. Take I-980 WEST RAMP towards DOWNTOWN OAKLAND. Merge onto I-980 W. Take the 18TH STREET exit towards 14TH STREET. Merge onto BRUSH ST. Turn LEFT onto 17TH ST. Turn RIGHT onto CLAY ST.

From the south/East Bay:

Take any ramp onto the I-880 NORTH towards DOWNTOWN OAKLAND. Continue on I-880 N. Take I-980 E towards WALNUT CREEK(CA-24). Merge onto I-980 E. Take the 11TH ST exit towards 14TH ST. Merge onto CASTRO ST. Turn RIGHT onto 14TH ST/INTERNATIONAL DR. Turn LEFT onto CLAY ST

From north of San Francisco:

Take the US-101 SOUTH ramp towards SAN FRANCISCO. Merge onto US-101 S/CA-1 S. US-101 S/CA-1 S becomes US-101. Take the US-101 SOUTH ramp towards DOWNTOWN/LOMBARD ST. Merge onto US-101. US-101 becomes US-101/RICHARDSON AVE. US-101/RICHARDSON AVE becomes US-101/LOMBARD ST. Turn RIGHT onto US-101/VAN NESS AVE. Turn LEFT onto BUSH ST. BUSH ST becomes 1ST ST. Take the I-80 EAST ramp towards BAY BRIDGE/OAKLAND. Merge onto I-80 E. I-80 E becomes I-80 E/BAY BRIDGE. I-80 E/BAY BRIDGE becomes I-80 E. From Walnut Creek area (east):

Take the CA-24 WEST ramp towards OAKLAND. Merge onto CA-24 W. CA-24 W becomes I-980 W. Take the 18TH STREET exit towards 14TH STREET. Merge onto BRUSH ST. Turn LEFT onto 17TH ST. Turn RIGHT onto CLAY ST.

From Oakland International Airport (OAK): (9.5 miles, 15 minutes)

Start out going North on AIRPORT EXIT towards PASSENGER TERMINAL ACC by turning right. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto AIRPORT DR. Turn RIGHT onto HEGENBERGER RD. Take the I-880 NORTH ramp towards DOWNTOWN OAKLAND. Continue on I-880 N. Take I-980 E towards WALNUT CREEK(CA-24). Merge onto I-980 E. Take the 11TH ST exit towards 14TH ST. Merge onto CASTRO ST. Turn RIGHT onto 14TH ST/INTERNATIONAL DR. Turn LEFT onto CLAY ST.

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO): (23.2 miles, 30 minutes)

Start out going West on ARRIVING FLIGHTS ACC towards AIRPORT EXIT by turning left. Stay straight to go onto AIRPORT EXIT. Take the US-101 NORTH/I-380 WEST ramp towards SAN FRANCISCO(I-280)/SAN BRUNO. Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto US-101 N. US-101 N becomes US-101 N/JAMES LICK FRWY. Stay straight to go onto US-101 N. Take I-80 E towards BAY BRIDGE/OAKLAND/SEVENTH ST/(US-101 NORTH).
